Generally you will only be considered for properties of the size needed by you and your family. However the size of property may not be available or may be in short supply in your areas of choice. In such cases we may consider you for alternative accommodation not normally considered appropriate for your family.
Who can Apply?
We accept applications from anyone aged 18 or over and in housing need.
Eldonian Community Based Housing Association is committed to ensure that its potential or current applicant is not treated less favourably on the grounds of sex, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, colour, disability, age or sexual orientation.
Allocation of properties will take in to account and include the seven categories of housing need as identified in Section 167 of the Housing Act 1996
Applicants occupying unsanitary or overcrowded housing or living in unsatisfactory housing
Applicants sharing accommodation
Applicants who need to move on medical or welfare grounds
The condition of the applicant’s current accommodation.
Lack of amenities at applicant’s current accommodation.
The Applicants need to give/receive care and support
Applicants who need to move to a another locality to avoid hardship, harassment, violence to themselves or others
How to apply?
An application form including an information sheet briefly explaining the type of properties managed, the location of the properties and an estimate of how long applicants should be expected to wait if accepted onto the waiting list can be downloaded directly from this website, or alternately contact the Housing office by phone on 0151 207 3406, a form will be sent to you, please return the completed application form to :
