Allocations Policy & Procedure

DEFINITION OF HOUSING NEED

The Eldonian CBHA Ltd will take the following into account when assessing an applicant's housing need, this includes the  categories of housing need as identified in Section 167 of the Housing Act 1996 and others identified by ourselves:

• overcrowding
• sharing
• medical circumstances
• condition of property
• lack of amenities
• suitability of property
• need to give/receive care and support
• harrassment/violence

Anyone can apply to Eldonian CBHA Ltd providing they are in housing need. Applcation forms can be obtained by contacting the Association's office at:

Included with the application form will be an information sheet briefly explaining the type of properties managed, the location of the properties and an estiamte of how long applicants should be expected to wait if accepted onto the waiting list.

All completed application forms will be treated in strictest confidence.
